Red sauce pasta
Traditional Italian pasta made with homemade red sauce.

Steps

Boil the water in a large pan. Add salt. Once it comes to boil add pasta. Boil for 10 minutes or till it cooked completely.

Switch off the gas. Drain off the pasta and keep aside.

Boil the water in a pan. Add tomatoes and red chilli. Boil for 5 to 10 minutes.

Switch off the gas. Drain off the tomatoes. Peel off the skin of tomatoes and blend it into smooth paste. Keep aside.

Heat the oil in a pan. Add finely chopped garlic saute. Add finely chopped onion and sauté.

Then add Italian herbs, chilli flakes, pepper powder and salt. Sauté well.

Now add tomato purée and tomato sauce. Mix well. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until tomato purée cooked completely.

Add boiled pasta. Mix well. Red sauce pasta is ready.

Grate some cheese or garnish with basil leaves and serve.
