Ingredients

  • 4Ripe Kerala Bananas
  • 1 tspVanilla Extract
  • 1/2 tspCinnamon Powder
  • 1/4 tspNutmeg Powder
  • 4 tbspsSugar (White or Brown)
  • 1/8 tspSalt
  • 1 cupAll-purpose Flour
  • as requiredOil (For Frying)

Steps

    Firstly, remove the skin of the bananas and add it to a bowl. With the help of a fork or masher, mash it well till they are slightly watery.

    Add vanilla extract, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder, sugar and salt to the mashed bananas. The sweetness of the fritters depends on the ripeness of the banana. The more riper, the more sweet. So add sugar according to your preference.

    Next sift the flour and add it to the mashed bananas.

    Mix well until well combined. Batter should flow easily off the spoon. It should neither be thick nor thin.

    Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat. When the oil is hot, add a spoonful of the banana mixture in the hot oil. Do not clutter the pan. Leave enough space between each fritter. Fritters should be thin and moist.

    Once you notice that the bottom has turned golden brown in color and bubbles appear on the top of the fritters, flip and cook on the other side till it turns golden brown.

    Remove the fried fritters from the pan and place it on paper towels to drain the excess oil.

    Super Delicious Banana Fritters are ready. It can be enjoyed hot or cold.
