For Sugar syrup: Boil water by adding sugar, salt and saffron strands. Keep them boiling for 6-7 minutes. Then add the lemon juice to avoid crystallization. Keep it aside.

Add in flour, corn flour, yoghurt & colour into a bowl and mix everything together by adding water little at a time. Then add in baking powder & baking soda and combine well. The batter should be thick with a ribbon consistency.

Transfer this batter into icing bag and pipe spirally into the hot oil. Fry both sides.

Put the fried jilebi directly into the prepared sugar syrup. Let it there for 1-2 minutes.
