Wash Rice and all Dals,soak for more than half an hour.In a big Cooker put Oil, butter, put Jeera, whole garam masala (tezpatta, cloves,big and small Elachi, dalchini), saute for few minutes,add sliced Onions till it become pinkish brown,add Dals, stir it, now add Rice, put chopped tomatoes and add all spices including Salt.

Saute for few minutes,add water as required and cover the Cooker for 2 whistle, and sim the Gas for few minutes and gave tadkaa over khichdi by putting Ghee and garnish with corrriander leaves.

Serve hot with Curd and roasted papad.
