Ingredients

2 servings
  • 1 cupflour
  • 2 TSPajwain
  • 1 TSPturmeric
  • 2 TSPKashmiri chilli powder
  • 1/4 TSPhing
  • 2 TSPoil
  • as requiredGhee for frying
  • 2 tbspcooked tuvar dal
  • as per tasteRock salt
  • as requiredWater for kneading
  • as neededGhee for frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Take all the ingredients except water and ghee and mix them together

  2. 2

    Add water and knead into a dough. Put the tawa and keep it on high flame.

  3. 3

    Take a lemon sized ball and roll out into a small circle about 3 inch circle. Take some ghee and spread it across the roti. Fold into half to make it a semi circle and then fold again.

    Reduce the flame to sim now.

  5. 5

    Dust your worksheet with flour and then roll the paratha.

  6. 6

    Place the paratha on the tawa and let it cook a bit.

  7. 7

    Flip and cook it on the other side. Spread some ghee on the top of the paratha.

  8. 8

    Once it cooks on the other side, flip again and spread some more ghee on the top

  9. 9

    Take it off the tawa and serve hot with some adrak wali chai.
