An Eco-conscious Strawberry Jam

I just couldn't throw out the strawberries after making syrup. It was just too wasteful.
Please make this as thick as you like by adjusting the amount of wine. This will turn into a chunky jam if you don't add wine.
The amount of wine used also effects the sweetness, so the amount of sugar listed is just an estimate. Adjust to suite your taste. Recipe by Yumi`s cafe

Steps
- 1
Add all of the ingredients to a pot and boil down over low heat. The strawberries will have lost their color from making the syrup, so mashing them will make it look more appetizing.
- 2
Minutely skim out the scum while cooking. The taste will vary depending on the condition of the strawberries, so add sugar or wine while checking the taste.
- 3
Once it has thickened up nicely, pour into a disinfected jar, and it is done.
