Crispy & Crunchy Batter for Deep Frying

This batter makes it easier for you to create crispy, crunchy, and delicious fried dishes. I slightly changed the way I prepare my fried foods, just to make the recipe easier to follow. I recommend this for french fries or fried veggies. Fried oysters or shrimp will also taste really good.

To make the coating stick better, lightly cover the product with flour beforehand. (Put the flour in a plastic bag with the product to cover). The photo shows a plate of fried mackerel. If you switch half of the water for milk, it will also come out great. If only making a small amount, just use water and flour. Recipe by Yuuyuu0221

Ingredients

  • 1Egg (medium)
  • 3 tbspCake flour
  • 70 mlWater
  • 1Vegetable oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and mix well with a whisk.

  2. 2

    Coat the meat or whatever ingredient with the Step 1 batter, cover with panko breading, and then deep fry in oil.

  3. 3

    If making a large amount, increase the amount of water. You can increase the amount of water to equal 100ml when combined with the egg. (Also add a little bit more flour.)
