Ingredients

  • 150 gramsbasmati rice
  • 250 mlwater
  • 150 gramssugar
  • as neededSome chopped almonds
  • as requiredSome chopped cashews
  • As neededPista for garnishing
  • 2cardamom
  • 1 tablespoonghee
  • 1 pinchturmeric powder

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    First of all soak rice in water for 15-20 minutes.

    On the other hand chop almonds and cashews.

    Now add ghee into the cooker then add chopped almonds and cashews and cardamom.roast for 1 min.

    Now add soaked rice and water.and 1 pinch of turmeric powder.

    After 1 whistle off the flame and wait until cooker gets cool down completely.

    Now add sugar and mix it well.your Kanika is ready to serve, garnish it with pista.
