Cooking Instructions
- 1
Firstly, add the butter to a small pan on a low heat & drop in the garlic. Gently heat through for a minute or two so the butter just melts. Leave it to one side while you prepare your dough.
- 2
Add the yogurt, seeds, salt & oil to a bowl and mix together thoroughly.
- 3
Now add the flour and bicarbonate of soda.
- 4
Mix into a dough with a spoon first, then your hands to form a large ball of dough.
- 5
No need to knead, just cut into 4 or 8 pieces and roll into rough disc shapes about 3-4mm thick. *It will be slightly sticky but just add a little flour to the board, and to each ball of dough when you roll them out.
- 6
Pop into a dry pan on a medium heat and cook for about 2-3 minutes each side til you get those nice charred bits and the bread has puffed up lightly.
- 7
While hot brush your melted garlic butter generously & serve.
Can be kept wrapped tin foil for half an hour or so to keep warm.❄️ Freezable once cooked;
Wrap in foil and put in a freezable container.
Defrost & reheat gently in a pan for a couple of minutes.

Kulcha Naan/ Indian flat bread Kulcha Naan/ Indian flat bread
Naan is a leavened, oven-baked flatbread found in the cuisines mainly of India. It mostly consists of egg and milk products like yogurt. The egg brings crispiness to the naan while the yogurt helps in digestion of the gluten. It is generally prepared from wheat flour. However, spices are not used in naan. Spices are mostly used to make kulchas. Therefore, what I present here can better be called kulcha naan.#epicureanfeast #loveforfood #indianbread The Epicurean Feast -

Chewy Naan with Homemade Yeast Chewy Naan with Homemade Yeast
I generally make naan with dry yeast, but this time, I made it with the last bit of my homemade yeast. These are easy to make since they don't need a second proving. There's no need for them to rise much, so you can make them with a small amount of yeast. Since the dough has little moisture, like bagel dough, it's a bit difficult to knead. For those who like soft naan, add more water. Recipe by kazz72 cookpad.japan -
Light and Puffy Homemade Naan Bread in a Pan Light and Puffy Homemade Naan Bread in a Pan
I wanted to make naan that not only went well with curry, but could be enjoyed for breakfast if any were left over. Since they can be cooked in a frying pan and will puff up nicely, they might be easier than regular rolls or loaves of bread!Since the dough continues to rise with residual heat after it's microwaved, put it in a warm place if possible. The dough will puff up when it's cooked.Since I added yogurt to the dough, it has a lightly tart, but easy-to-eat flavor. If you use milk only it will have a gentle creamy flavor. I recommend that too. For 4 pieces. Recipe by yaburie cookpad.japan -
Black dal with naan Black dal with naan
My first black dal try. I love this meal and really wanted to make one. The recipe is for people who are not in a hurry. I put the lentils in a bowl of cold water for 24h before I started cooking it. The water had to be changed 2-3 times. The result was amazing and the aroma in the kitchen was fantastic. Adrian
