Cooking Instructions
- 1
Lay thinly sliced sashimi on a piece of plastic wrap, then place a bited piece of sushi rice on top. Squeeze the wrap tightly and twist the top. This will produce the temari ball shape.
- 2
Place 5 balls on a plate, arrange them to resemble petals on a flower, then garnish with ribbons of scrambled eggs in the center of the flowers.
- 3
It's also nice to use 5 different sushi balls in one flower. Place a shiso leaf between the maguro (tuna) and sushi rice for a pretty and delicious touch.
- 4
Top the egg ribbons with ikura (salmon roe) to add more color.

Easy Square-Shaped Chirashizushi and Cup Sushi For Girl's Day Easy Square-Shaped Chirashizushi and Cup Sushi For Girl's Day
I thought up a colorful and festive looking chirashi sushi that anyone can make. You could also sandwich the ingredients between layers of rice. For 2 to 4 servings: 4 diamond shapes. Recipe by vegeful cookpad.japan -

Festive Ham Sushi for Girl's Day Festive Ham Sushi for Girl's Day
I saw a ham sushi cake on TV made by a popular granny blogger. Her cake was plain in the inside, but I thought if I layered the filling like a cake, it may be more colorful. So I tried adding things my children love that I had in the refrigerator. The combination of cheese, shiso and mayonnaise was delicious. If you line your cake pan with plastic wrap, you can unmold the sushi cake easily. By layering the ingredients it looks more decorative when you cut through the cake. For girl's day (hinamatsuri), you could use pale pink smoked salmon or cured ham! Temari Sushi For Girl's Day Festival and Parties Temari Sushi For Girl's Day Festival and Parties
Mild flavored cream cheese is loved by children and adults, and can be used in savory dishes as well as desserts. This party dish looks as good as it tastes. The cream cheese will be less sticky and easier to cut if you put it in the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before you plan on using it.Always moisten the plastic wrap with a water mister or just a little water before placing on the ingredients. This way the rice will not stick to it, and you'll have very nicely formed temari sushi. You can form the rice balls first before wrapping them. For 2 to 3 servings - about 15 temari sushi.
