Ingredients

1 hour
9-11 servings
  • 3 kg Carrot (Peeled, Grated)
  • 1 cupClarified Butter (Ghee)
  • 2Cinnamon Stick
  • 2Bay Leaf
  • 6Green Cardamom
  • 1 & half cup (375g)Sugar
  • 1 cupNido milk powder
  • 1 tspCardamom Powder
  • For garnish Khoya or dry fruits

Steps

  1. 1

    Take 3 kg carrots (peeled & grated).
    Take a pot to add clarified butter, cinnamon stick, bay leaf & green cardamom. Fry it till aroma start comes.

  2. 2

    In a pot, add carrots and cook on low flame till carrot becomes soft.

  3. 3

    Then add sugar and milk powder. Mix well & cook on low flame till it left the water.

  4. 4

    Now turn on high flame. Keep on stirring and continue to cook till the water gets dry.

  5. 5

    Add Cardamom Powder and give a good mix.

    Garnish with khoya or with desire dry fruits.
    Gajar halwa is ready.
