Lauki Chane ki Dal is a healthy and simple curry /stew of Bengal Gram lentil(Chana Dal) and Bottle Gourd(Lauki/Ghiya) cooked in very simple and easy way which is also called as Jain curry.
This is a complete meal in itself, with the goodness of vegetable and dal(lentil) and is a very tasty and healthy option for a complete family. We can have it with Rice or Chapatis. A good way to feed Lauki to your kids and family who don’t like eating plain Lauki vegetable.

Steps

First wash and soak Bengal gram for 1 hour. When we have to prepare curry wash, peel and chop bottle gourd in cubes.

Now discard water from Dal. Now in a pressure cooker add ghee and heat it and add tadka ingredients when it spulettering add turmeric powder, soaked dal, and all the rest ingredients and cook for a 2 whistle.

Now after pressure open itself add 1 TSP curd and enjoy this yummilicious, delicious and Jain style curry.

Now garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and serve with Roti, green chutney.

You can also make this dal with onion and garlic, it tastes great with it also.
