I received lots of unshelled peanuts and wanted to use them up.

You can use shelled peanuts, but the oil comes out of unshelled ones more easily, which gives peanut butter a smoother finish.

  • 40 gramsSugar (or to taste)

    Dry-roast the peanuts in a frying pan or oven.

    The oil from the nuts will emerge when heated, making them easier to process!

    Put them in the food processor, and mix at high speed.

    After 1 minute.

    After 2 minutes.

    After 3 minutes.

    After 4 minutes.

    After mixing for 4 minutes, add the sugar bit by bit.

    Mix for 30 seconds. It's done when the sugar is mixed in.

    Put it in a clean jar and store it in the fridge. Made with the amounts listed, it filled one jar perfectly!!

    It contains no added oil so it's a little on the firm side. Please understand that depending on the peanuts you are using, it might not have a paste-like consistency.
