Ingredients

15 to 20 min
4 servings
  • For chaulbara
  • 3 + 1/4 cupBoiled rice
  • 1/4 cupRaw rice
  • 1 /4 cupUdad dal
  • as requiredGreen chilli and coriander leaves
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1/2 tsp,Carom seed oil for fry
  • For tomato chutney
  • 2big tomato,
  • 1 green chilli,
  • 1inch ginger,
  • 2 garlic,
  • 1 tsp, Coriander leaves
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • Tamarind water or tetel jhol
  • 1/4 cuptamarind,
  • 1 red chilli,
  • 2 garlic
  • 1 inchginger, coriander leaves,
  • to tastesalt
  • For chaka pitha stuffing
  • 2boil potatoes,
  • 2 tsp peanut
  • 2 tsp green peas
  • 5curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp, jeera power
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tspOil

Steps

15 to 20 min
  1. 1

    Soak the Rice and udad dal for 4 to 6 hour.

    Grind these to make a little harder batter. Harder batter can be easily shaped with hand and slight water.
    Leave it 2 hr

    Mix the salt and coriander leaves and green chilli and carom seeds properly.

    Heat the oil in a fry pan. Gently shape the batter to round shape and deep fry to get color as in picture.

    For tomato chutney

    Add all ingredients and grind it

    For tamarind water
    Soak tamarind and paste red chilli and ginger garlic and add salt to taste and 1/2 tsp sugar

    For making chaka pitha

    Aloo stuff. Heat oil in pan add curry leaves and green chilli and peanut and green peas fry 1 min. Add boil potatoes and jeera powder and garam masala mix it 3 min and add coriander leaves

    In your hand take small amount of mixture and stuff with aloo and cover it with better and fry it medium to high flam till golden brown

    Served it with chutney

    For Chatpata chaulbara

    Chaul bara ready to serve. Serve with chickpeas curry and Tomato-Coriander chutney and telel jhol and spinkle some coriander leaves and onions
