Ingredients

  1. 500 gmscurry cut chicken
  2. 1 bowlfreshly chopped dhanya leaves
  3. 2big onions finely chopped
  4. 2 tablespoonsginger and garlic paste
  5. 1 teaspoongreen chili paste
  6. 1/2 cuphunk curd
  7. 2 Tablespoonscashew and poppy seed paste
  8. as per tasteSalt and sugar
  9. 1 tablespoonhaldi powder
  10. 1 teaspoondhaniya powder
  11. 1 teaspoonjeera powder
  12. 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  13. As requiredRefine oil
  14. as requiredLukewarm water

Steps

    Wash chicken properly then marinate with haldi powder, jeera powder, salt, curd and keep aside for 1 hour.

  2. 2

    Now heat a kadai and add sufficient oil for frying chopped onion, as soon as onion turns golden brown add ginger and garlic paste with chilli paste.

  3. 3

    Saute for few minutes until raw smell vanishes, now add marinated chicken and stir properly.

  4. 4

    When colour of chicken will change now add dhaniya powder, salt and sugar according to taste.

  5. 5

    Add cashew and poppy seed paste and stir constantly so that masala doesn't stick to the kadai.

  6. 6

    Now add chopped dhanya leaves and cook for few minutes until oil start seperating from the chicken.

  7. 7

    Now add lukewarm water and let it cook until chicken becomes tender.

  8. 8

    When it will turn into a thick gravy add garam masala powder and mix it well, again cook for 5mins.

  9. 9

    Switch off the flame and give standing time of 10mins and can be served with both rice and roti.
