Methi Puri

Methi puri is a breakfast recipe which is prepared using wheat flour and fresh fenugreek leaves. This is a type of Indian flatbread which is fried. It is usually served in breakfast with potato curry, tea or coffee. It is a delicious, filling and wholesome breakfast which is so tempting that you just cannot say no to it!!!

Add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix it properly. Now add enough water to make a medium consistency dough which is not very soft or not very stiff. Knead it for 2 minutes. Cover and rest it for 10 minutes. Divide the dough into small balls of equal portions. Now take one portion and with the help of little oil roll out a medium thickness circle.

Heat oil in a pan and add two to three puris to it and fry it until golden patches appear on it on both sides. Fry all the puris in the same way. Make sure that every time you add puris to the oil, the the oil should be hot enough otherwise the puris will not puff up and it will be oily.

Serve hot puris with potato curry, green chillies and mango pickle. This is a delicious breakfast recipe which can be even served simply with tea or coffee.
