#Palak Kadhi is an Indian main course dish made with fresh spinach leaves cooked with curd and besan (gram flour) curry. It is flavored with Indian spices and tempered with fried garlic & red chilis.

#Palak Kadhi is an Indian main course dish made with fresh spinach leaves cooked with curd and besan (gram flour) curry. It is flavored with Indian spices and tempered with fried garlic & red chilis.
Steps

Wash, rinse, blanch and strain the water from spinach. Put it in grinder and grind to a coarse paste.

Wash, peel and chop onion, ginger, garlic and tomato. Grind it to a smooth paste.

Heat oil in a wok. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add fenugreek and coriander seeds. Saute for 1 minute. Add grinded paste of onion and garlic. Saute on low flame till oil leaves the sides.

In a mixing bowl add Gram flour. Add curd and all dry masale. Mix it well with the help of whisker. Add 1 litre water and mix thoroughly.

Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt in onion Tomato paste. Mix well. Now add curd and gram flour mixture in it. Give it a boil. Add spinach puree in it and mix. Let it simmer on low flame till it turn thick. It will take around half an hour. Keep on stirring in between.

Now add Gram flour for making pakoda in a mixing bowl. Add chopped onion, green chilli and spinach and all dry masale and mix.

Now heat oil in a wok. Add a tb spoon of mixture in oil and deep fry. 6-8 pakodas can be fried at a time. Fry till crispie golden brown.

Mix all the pakodas in kadhi and stir. Let it simmer on low flame for 3-4 minutes. Switch off the flame. Now add garam masala and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.

Serve hot with rice or chapati.
