Daliya Pudding

Daliya is the broken wheat that rich in protein and fibre. It is known as healthiest breakfast. It is loaded with nutrients.Daliya can be used as an alternative rice for people who are trying to cut carbs to lose weight.
I prepared the sweet version daliya pudding to offer my deities and of course for my family.

Daliya is the broken wheat that rich in protein and fibre. It is known as healthiest breakfast. It is loaded with nutrients.Daliya can be used as an alternative rice for people who are trying to cut carbs to lose weight.

Steps

To the 1/4 cup warm milk add crushed saffron and mix well. Set aside

Fry the daliya with ghee and bay leaf in a cooler in low to medium flame till the daliya is brown and aromatic.

Mix water. Stir well. Add a pinch of salt. Pressure cook for one whistle.

When cool down naturally, pour half of the milk and jaggery to cooked daily. Stir well.

Add cardamom powder,rest of the milk and saffron milk to daliya. Mix well and bring to boil.

Now the daliya is ready to serve. Cool down and serve, garnishing with chopped almonds, pista and Rose petals.
