Steps

Wash and cut bottle gourd inti small pieces.

Wash moong dal and add it into cooker

In the same cooker, add bottle gourd pieces. Cook for one whistle.

In a mixer jar add Scraped coconut, red chilli, cumin seeds and turmeric powder. Grind it into coarse paste

In the boiled dal & bottle gourd add salt and ground coconut paste. Allow to boil.

For tempering, in a small pan add 1 tsp ghee, add mustard seeds, curry leaves and hing. Add this into the kootu. Tasty Bootle gourd kootu is ready.
