Boil orecchiette for 10 minutes in lightly salted water and save some of the water.

In the meantime pour olive oil in a pan, large enough to accommodate the pasta, and cook the garlic, sausage and broccoli for a couple of minutes until the sausage is fully cooked and the broccoli still has some firmness.

Add the coked pasta and stir for an extra minute or two, while adding small amounts of the pasta water if too dry.

Serve and sprinkle the Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper (optional).
