Ingredients

Preparation time-15 mins, Cooking time-20 mins
2 people
  1. 1 cupcooked rice
  2. 1/2 cupgrated raw mango
  3. 1/2 tspmustard seed
  4. 1/2 tspChana Dal
  5. 1/2 tspUrad Dal
  6. 1 tspgroundnut
  7. 2green chillies
  8. 1 sprigcurry leaves
  9. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  10. Pinchasafoetida
  11. 2 tspsesame oil
  12. as per taste Salt

Steps

Preparation time-15 mins, Cooking time-20 mins
  1. 1

    In a pan add sesame oil and mustard. When it splutters add Chana Dal, Urad Dal, green chilies

  2. 2

    Add curry leaves, hing and turmeric powder

  3. 3

    Grate raw mango and set aside

  4. 4

    Cook and drain the rice water. Set aside the cooked rice

  5. 5

    Add the tempering and grated mango with salt to taste to the rice. Mix well.

  6. 6

    Mango Rice is ready to be enjoyed
