Gur Aam is a traditional pickle recipe of Western Odisha. This pickle is prepared with jaggery , tangy mango and some masalas instantly.

Gur Aam is a traditional pickle recipe of Western Odisha. This pickle is prepared with jaggery , tangy mango and some masalas instantly.
Steps

Heat oil in a kadhai. Add panch phutan masala and allow them to splutter.

Mix chopped mango. Add turmeric and salt and chilli powder.

Cook till water evaporate from mangos.

Add jaggery and mix with mango chunks. The jaggery will melt out.Add jaggery and mix with mango chunks. The jaggery will melt out.

Saute continuously till one strand forms.

Add the pickle powder and coat well with mangoes.

Cook till jaggery and mangoes come together. Switch off the flame and allow to cool the sweet mango pickle.

Keep in airtight container. This will stay long. I enjoy this mango sweet and tangy pickle a lot.
