Indo Chinese or Desi Chinese is one of the most loved cuisines in India. The dish " Chilli Garlic Mushroom or Mushroom Chilli " being one of them, is an extremely popular starter. It is also served as a main with Hakka noodles or fried rice.
In this recipe I have made use of " Mint Leaves ". Mint not only elevates the dish but also adds alot of freshness to the dish and takes it to a whole new level.
So here's presenting you this simple, easy yet extremely delicious Restaurant Style, "Mint Chilli Garlic Mushroom".

In this recipe I have made use of " Mint Leaves ". Mint not only elevates the dish but also adds alot of freshness to the dish and takes it to a whole new level.
So here's presenting you this simple, easy yet extremely delicious Restaurant Style, "Mint Chilli Garlic Mushroom".

Wipe the mushrooms with a soft wet cloth and remove all the dirt stuck on it. Chop the mushroom in halves or quarters.

In a bowl combine maida, cornflour, ¼th tspn pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, 2 tbspn ketchup. Add 40 - 50 ml water gradually and stir well to achieve a batter like consistency.(The batter should not be too thick or too runny it should be thick enough to coat the mushrooms nicely.)

Add the mushrooms to the batter and coat the Mushrooms well.

In a kadhai heat oil to medium hot. Gradually lower the mushroom and fry them in two batches until light golden brown. Take it out on a tissue paper to remove excess oil.

Method for Mint Chilli Garlic sauce~
In a pan heat 2 tbspn oil. Add finely chopped garlic. Saute it slightly and and add onions. Saute till onions turn soft. - 6
Add green chillies and three bell peppers (red, yellow and green). Saute till bell peppers are slightly cooked.

Add ¼ tspn pepper, salt to taste, 5 tbspn ketchup, soya sauce and red chilli sauce. Mix it well.

Add 40 to 50 ml water and allow the sauce to get slightly thick. Add freshly chopped mint leaves and give it a mix.

Add the Mushrooms and toss it well with the sauce. Add spring onion and mix well onn medium heat for a minute. Serve Hot !
