Kitkat gems chocolatey cake (no maida)

This cake is made using whole wheat flour. And if you follow this method am sure no one will come to know that the cake was so healthy yet tastes yummilicious... The cake has chocolate sponge with chocolate mousse and chocolate chips between the layers. Covered with chocolate ganache and decorated with kitkat and gems.

Steps

Preheat the oven at 180°C for 10 minutes.
Sift all the dry ingredients 3-4 times. - 2
In a bowl take all the wet ingredients and heat on high for 1 minute in a microwave or heat it by double boiler method.

Mix the dry ingredients to wet ingredients gradually in three parts.
Don't over mix. The mixture should have smooth texture.
Pour the mixture in greased heart shaped cake tin. - 4
Bake the cake in the oven for 50 minutes or till the toothpick inserted comes out clean.

For chocolate ganache- Heat the fresh cream till bubbles are formed. Now add this heated cream to chopped chocolate pieces.

Cover it and keep it aside for 10 minutes. Now mix both of them properly till it forms a smooth texture.
Let the ganache come to room temperature then keep inside the fridge for 30 minutes to set. - 7
After it sets add half of the ganache to the whipped cream and mix well. This is chocolate mousse.

Cut the cake sponge in three parts. Place the first part on cake board and soak with sugar syrup and apply layer of chocolate mousse on it. Then sprinkle the chocolate chips on the mousse layer.

Similarly apply for 2nd layer and finally last layer also. Then cover the whole cake with the chocolate mousse properly. Keep this cake to chill in fridge for an hour.

The ganache made was of pouring consistency so pour it in the center of the chilled cake and then spread it evenly over the whole cake.

Decorate the cake with kitkat on sides to cover the sides properly and decorate gems on the top. Tie the cake with a red satin ribbon.
