First sieve besan in a bowl. In a small bowl mix salt, asefoetida, baking powder &1 tbsp water. Make a well in the center of besan & add this mixture to it. Now add carrom seeds, crushed peppercorns & oil in it. Mix everything well. Now add very little water to it & make a soft dough. Now apply 1 tsp oil & knead it again. Let it rest.

Now make small balls of it & give it a cylindrical shape as shown. Now keep it on a steel plate or a wooden board in such a way that it's pointed end should be at your side. Now stretch it with the help of your palm in 5 - 6 inches fafda.

Now scrap it with the help of a sharp knife. Heat oil in a pan & fry fafda. Serve it with green chillies & tea.
