Jam-stuffed French Toast

Replacing the sugar with jam made this amazing, so I uploaded this recipe!!

You could also use baguette instead of sliced bread.
If you use thicker cut bread, leave it to soak in the batter for a longer period of time.
It's okay if the jam is still a bit lumpy after Step 4!
The batter is very milky. Recipe by Kogumalove

Steps

  1. 1

Cut the bread into whatever sized chunks you like. (This time, I cut thinly sliced bread into quarters).

  2. 2

Put the egg and jam in a heat-resistant bowl, and mix with a whisk to disperse the jam throughout the egg (I used mango jam).

  3. 3

Once Step 2 is combined, add the milk and mix until the batter is smooth.

  4. 4

Microwave the Step 1 mixture for a minute at 600 W without covering with cling film!! Remove from the microwave, and gently mix with a whisk.

  5. 5

Soak the Step 1 bread in the Step 4 batter for about 30 seconds until completely saturated.

  6. 6

Heat a frying pan and pour in the vegetable oil, then fry the bread on low heat. Once browned, flip over and gently fry.

  7. 7

Once both sides are browned, transfer to a serving plate, and it's ready to eat!! (vegetable oil will produce a fluffier texture, but you can also use butter if you like!)

  8. 8

This is the mango jam I used.
