First, soak 1 bowl chana overnight. After soaked overnight pressure cooks the chana for 10 to 12 whistles adding 4 cups of water, with salt, turmeric.
Chana should be cooked well and softened.
The chana should be soft when you mash it with a spoon. - 2
In a grinder, jar add 4 chopped Tomatoes
Add 4 chopped onions
2 pieces of ginger. - 3
Add Garlic cloves 10
Add 4 green chilli
Add 6 laung. - 4
Add 2 pieces of dal Chinni
Add 1 tablespoon of black pepper
And grind all together with a make a paste. - 5
In a cooker add 2 tablespoon oil
Add 2 bay leaf
Add 2 tablespoon dhaniya powder. - 6
Add the grinded gravy and saute till the color changes.
Add 2 tablespoons of red chili powder.
Add 1/2 spoon hing powder. - 7
Add 1 tablespoon garam masala powder.
Now add2 tablespoon chana masala powder. And mix all well.
Now add the boiled chana/chickpeas with gravy and mix them well. - 8
Add salt as per taste.
Stir the gravy very well and chana masala is ready to serve garnish with coriander leaves. - 9
CHANA MASALA IS READY TO SERVE WITH PURI, BHATURE, OR JEERA RICE.
