Wash and pat dry okra. Slit it from the center and cut in 2.

Wash, peel, and chop onion garlic, and green chili. Grate tomatoes and make a puree.

Heat oil in a wok. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions and garlic and fry till golden. Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander seeds powder, and garam masala and saute for 1 minute.

Now add tomato puree and green chili and saute for 1 minute. Add chopped okra and mix.

Add salt and mix. Cover the lid and cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes or till done.

Add chopped coriander leaves and mix garam masala.

Serve hot with chapatti, parantha, or rice.
