Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cupsflour
  • 3 cupssugar
  • 1 cupbutter softened
  • 2 1/4 tspbaking soda
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 2 tspground cinnamon
  • 1 tspground nutmeg
  • 2 cupspumpkin or one 15 oz can pumpkin
  • 4eggs
  • 1 cupmilk

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. 2

    Grease two 9x5x3 inch loaf pans

  3. 3

    In large mixing bowl beat butter and sugar on medium speed. Add eggs beat well. Set aside

  4. 4

    In large bowl combine flour,baking soda,salt,cinnamon and nutmeg

  5. 5

    Slowly add flour mixture and milk to sugar mixture beating on low just till combined

  6. 6

    Beat in pumpkin

  7. 7

    Spoon batter in prepared pans

  8. 8

    Bake for 55 to 65 minutes or until tooth pick inserted in middle comes out clean

  9. 9

    Cool on wire racks for 10 minute

  10. 10

    Remove from loaf pans and finish cooling on wire rack
