it is a popular snack in south india and is typically made as munching evening snack or as compliment savoury snack with desserts. it is very easy to make as it does only require raw banana, oil to deep fry and salt to taste.

Raw banana wafers are made in the same way as you can find in a shop. This wafer has become quite crispy and crunchy. This raw banana wafer is made from farali wafer. Which can be eaten even in fasting. In this wafer I have used Sendha salt and black pepper powder.

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

First of all, wash and clean the raw bananas, peel them. Peel a squash, grate it one by one. Otherwise the banana will turn black.

Now prepare the water by adding water, sendha salt and turmeric powder in a bowl.

  3. 3

Then heat the oil for frying in a pan. Now grate a raw banana with a potato slicer and roll it into a round. Now immediately put this banana wafer in the required amount of hot oil in a pan. Add the same amount of wafer to the oil and add a teaspoon of turmeric and salt water on top. Stir the wafer a few times.

  5. 5

Now It has become so crispy that I have to take it in a spoon and check it. Now when the wafer settles, take it out in a small bowl so that its texture remains crispy. Now make all the wafers from this process.

  6. 6

Now our crispy crunchy wafers are ready to serve. Now sprinkle pepper powder on this banana wafer. Also sprinkle chaat masala only if you eat chaat masala in fasting. I made chaat masala in a wafer for my children. In another wafer, just sprinkle black pepper powder and make a farali wafer.
