Bhel Puri

Bhel brings back memories of Mumbai—if you visit Juhu Chowpatty and don’t have bhel, your trip feels incomplete. The bhel made by the vendors there has a unique taste and style that I absolutely love. Everyone in my family enjoys it, and it’s so easy to make at home with ingredients you probably already have. If you have spicy green chutney and sweet chutney ready, it comes together even faster. All you need are some savory snacks, puffed rice, and your favorite mix-ins. One special thing about bhel puri is that it’s best enjoyed served in a paper cone and eaten with small crispy puris, not with a spoon. That’s when you really get the authentic experience! Even at home, my kids always ask for it in a paper cone instead of a plate—it just makes it more fun.
