Thandai Shots/with Homemade Thandai Powder

Thandai is a Refreshing cold drink made out of dry fruits, spices,milk & sugar.
Traditionally, it was made by soaking the dry fruits and spices in milk or water overnight and then grinding them to a fine paste before mixing in the milk along with sugar.
Here, I will be sharing the recipe to make Thandai Powder which can be stored in an airtight container in the "refrigerator" for upto 4 months or on the "kitchen shelf" for upto 1 month. Since it is made out of dryfruits, it can be had as an energy drink and can be served to kids as an alternative to the store bought energy drink powders!
And this thandai powder is a multipurpose powder..can be added to indian deserts to enhance the flavour. I tried adding it to tea or Chai..tadaa....it tasted just like the restaurant style MASALA CHAI do try this,by adding a tsp of thandai powder to your chai(1 cup)

Thandai Powder:
1. Grind the saunf, peppercorns, saffron, cinnamon, nutmeg, rose petals first to get a nice fine powder.
2.Then add the nuts.Pulse,cool and pulse. Dont grind all at once.The nuts will release their oil and it becomes sticky.
3.Just sieve this powder and store it in an airtight container. - 2
Instant Thandai:
1. Boil Milk and add sugar and mix well. Add saffron soaked milk.
2.Add the Thandai Powder and simmer for 5 mins.
3.Strain it if you want else can be served as is.Add rose water at the end and mix.
3.Serve it chilled, garnished with pista and saffron.
