Watermelon-Cinnamon Smoothie

Lycopene is a plant chemical which reduces the risk of cancer and heart diseases, and this can be found in watermelons.
Watermelons have phytosterols and the phytosterols hinder cholesterol absorption in the blood. On the other hand, cinnamon enhances the ability of insulin to move sugar out of the body to the muscles. Nuts and seeds have healthy fats and taking them alongside helps with the absorption of some nutrients.

Pineapple and Cinnamon smoothie Pineapple and Cinnamon smoothie
Blend with ice cubes if you prefer a colder smoothie.A few weeks back, I finally took the plunge and ordered a NutriBullet. After seeing so many tempting instagram snaps and Pinterest recipes, I couldn't resist. About the same time, the Almond Board of California got in touch with me to ask if I'd like to take their 21-day Snack Happy Challenge (http://www.almonds.co.uk/snack-happy-challenge). The stars had aligned perfectly.I've been snacking on a handful of almonds every day this month, and including them in my favourite smoothie recipes. Why almonds?• A handful of almonds (30g) provide approximately 65% of your daily requirement of vitamin E.• Almonds are a high source of fibre, are packed with healthy, unsaturated fats and are a natural source of protein.• Almonds are rich in calcium, which is needed for the maintenance of normal bones and teeth.• Almonds are a high source of magnesium, which contributes to reducing tiredness and fatigue.• Almonds provide linoleic acid, which contributes to maintaining normal cholesterol levels.• Just a handful of these noble nuts is all you need to up your daily nutrient intake. Pop them in your handbag to snack on-the-go in your moments of need. Lottie Storey -

Super Energizing Smoothie Super Energizing Smoothie
For a big boost of energy, try starting with this smoothie. It’s loaded with healthy fruits like watermelon, which helps dilate blood vessels to promote blood flow. Also, it has coconut water which hydrates and reduces blood pressure. I get two 16oz servings when I fill my blender to top. (You can save leftovers if you make too much at once!) Brittany M -
Mango & Cinnamon Smoothie Mango & Cinnamon Smoothie
Hiiii everyone, I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I do hope the weather has turned into Spring for some of my blogger friends and friends around the world. 🙂Today’s post is not a Greek recipe but a recipe that I just love!! Smoothieeeee 🙂 I mentioned in a previous post that I was given some Mangos which I have already added into a salad and have made a few other recipes, 🙂 but one thing I have not made yet is a delicious Mango Smoothie. (My Absolute Favorite!!!) I found this recipe in REAL SIMPLE many many years ago and just loved it. The original recipe does not have any Cinnamon added into or on top of the Smoothie, but I had to tweak it. I have added a teaspoon of Cinnamon into the smoothie along with the honey, and I just topped it off with just a small pinch of Cinnamon. 🙂 (Just because I like it)I enjoy having a smoothie throughout the day, I am not really the kind of person who would make a smoothie to have for breakfast. I prefer having a nice breakfast in the morning with fruits, cereal. toasted bread, etc. and later in the day enjoy a great smoothie, 🙂 especially if we are having hot weather. 🙂 So, I hope you enjoy this smoothie recipe, let me know if you try it out. 🙂 Foodzesty -

Papaya Turmeric Smoothie Papaya Turmeric Smoothie
Sometimes I really don't feel like cooking my meals. There comes smoothie bowls to my escape. They are so easy to make, highly nutritive and light on stomach. What else you could ask for?I simply chop my fruits, froze them for 2 or more hours (frozen fruits give creamy smoothie texture) and blend. This particular smoothie I made with banana and papaya, added turmeric & cinnamon because of it's numerous benefits and garnished it with whatever came handy first.I really enjoy my chilled smoothies during summers as breakfast mostly.
