Teeny Tiny Shortcake Appetizers

Looking at the cross-section of the black pepper, it struck me that it kind of looked like a shortcake.
lt's the little things in life that count.

It's pretty simple. The black pepper makes it look really cute, so you're just decorating the side of it with bread crumbs.
It becomes a little too heavy if you use too much mayonnaise, so it's best just to use a little bit.
Finally, be sure to make it with love. Recipe by mama deko

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 1 sliceCheese, sliced from a wheel
  2. 1Panko
  3. 1 dashParsley
  4. 1 dashOlive oil
  5. 1/2 sliceCured ham
  6. 1 dashMayonnaise
  7. 1bean Edamame
  8. 1Cracker

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Mix the panko, parsley, and olive oil in a frying pan and heat until browned.

  2. 2

For Step 1, I used 2 tablespoons of panko, 1 teaspoon of olive oil, and a bit of dried parsley. You could use the leftover panko in gratin.

  3. 3

Lightly spread mayonnaise on one side of the cheese and coat with panko.

  4. 4

Take the half-slice of ham and curl it up, pressing the bottom closed with your fingers.

  5. 5

Put an edamame inside the curled ham.

  6. 6

Put a little mayonnaise on top of the cheese and top with the ham to finish. You can top it with crackers or something and set on a plate to make the presentation even better.
