I’m hoping my garden having buds will show me more of their fresh garden hauls. I know it’s early yet. They inspire me with their beautiful veg!!These are so good and fresh and very calming to snap beans. We used to do it when I was little in Louisiana. Shucking corn too. It takes very little time to make these. I should do it more often. SherryRandall: The Leftover Chronicles -

Me and my family has eaten this for so many years. It's also low carb if you want to make it lower carbs remove the onion. Onions have quite a few carbs compared to other vegetables. A medium sized onion has about 10 carbs green beans about a cup has 7 carbs. skunkmonkey101 -

This is hands down my favorite way to eat green beans, and nothing beats using fresh. Unless using your pressure cooker, cooking fresh green beans this way takes quite some time, but is still super easy.Additionally, this may seem like a lot of salt, but you're seasoning the water to flavor the beans. They don't soak up much water, and you won't be eating/drinking the water so it's all good. StephieCanCook -
