Homemade Strawberry Daifuku Homemade Strawberry Daifuku
If you use large whole strawberries and wrap with azuki bean paste, they will be too big and they won't look as cute. Just cut them up and wrap them the way I'll show you here. These days, you see large strawberries on sale. If you buy ones that are a little damaged, just discard the damaged parts and use the rest to make these. The cut strawberries tend to yield a lot of moisture, so eat straight away after making them. They do not keep long for this reason. Recipe by Nora8722 cookpad.japan -

Easy Strawberry Daifuku Easy Strawberry Daifuku
I used a cookbook as reference. These have mashed strawberries in the mochi dough for a cute pink tint. The mochi dough has been improved to my liking through much trial and error. If dyeing the mochi dough pink, don't add too many strawberries or the dough will become too watery and difficult to handle. Make sure to brush off excess katakuriko from the finished product as it's not suitable for eating. Recipe by Necchan cookpad.japan -

Mini Strawberry Daifuku Mini Strawberry Daifuku
Regular strawberry daifuku are kind of boring, so I came up with this. I added strawberries to both the dough and the filling, and rather than making traditional manju, I arranged it like a sandwich. They turned out pretty cute! The firmness of the dough will vary depending on what type of shiratamako you use, so microwave for longer if your dough is still soft. Another point is to not use too much katakuriko when assembling. They don't harden over time, so they're great to bring as gifts. They look cute lined up in a box! For 4. Strawberry Daifuku Japanese Dessert With Sakura-Mochi Skin Strawberry Daifuku Japanese Dessert With Sakura-Mochi Skin
I made sakura-mochi, so I made this strawberry daifuku as well.If you cook the skin too much, it becomes too dry and it does not make pretty creases. Be careful not to let it dry while cooling also! It will be better to have a little thickness as well since if it is too thin, it does not stand up. Recipe by BUNNYMOM cookpad.japan -
Homemade Strawberry Gummies Homemade Strawberry Gummies
These are kind of a mix between gummies and fruit chews, but so much better for you with ingredients you control and these are so simple to make. I got my gummy bear molds on Amazon for pretty cheap, but this recipe is still completely doable without silicone molds (see step 5). It's fun to come up with different flavor combinations for homemade gummy snacks. You could also use 1 cup of 100% fruit juice instead of the strawberries. Just don't use pineapple or kiwi...they have enzymes that don't allow the gelatin to set properly. Recipe adapted from : Mind Over Munch @ YouTube Christina -
Homemade Candied Hassaku Peel Homemade Candied Hassaku Peel
I wanted to make homemade candied peels, so I created my own recipe by referencing a variety of recipes and consolidating the best of each! When coating the peels in granulated sugar, they will get sticky, but once they are well coated, the sugar will dry up and stop sticking.By repeating Step 3, you can get rid of some of the astringency (bitterness).Coating them in chocolate makes them extra delicious. For 2 hassaku's worth. Recipe by Jay cookpad.japan -
Strawberry-Decorated Cup Cakes - For Japanese Doll Festival Strawberry-Decorated Cup Cakes - For Japanese Doll Festival
I thought up a Japanese Doll Festival version for decorating my cupcakes I have made before. The cream cheese is sweetened by the strawberry jam and it naturally gives it a nice pink color. This time, I used strawberry jam rated at 47 for sweetness. Please adjust the amount of jam according to your jam's sweetness. If you don't have strawberry powder, you can use crushed freeze-dried strawberries. If you don't have any of that, either, you can just use the strawberry jam, but it may not be sour enough, so you can increase the amount of lemon juice or add some strawberry essence or liqueur.
