Ayran - Middle Eastern Savoury Yoghurt Drink

#mychildhoodrecipe
#cookpadindia
Indians call it Chaas, Arabs call it Ayran or Laban, call it by any name, it's a cooling Yogurt drink widely enjoyed in the scorching Summers throughout the Middle Eastern countries. Laban can be made either thinner or thicker depending on one's liking. It is a must have summer drink here.
And Ayran is very healthy too. It's the best for dehydration too. It has healthy probiotics that are gut friendly bacteria in it as well. Therefore it's a perfect drink in all likeliness.
Not only that, you can get this store bought too in the Middle East. But it can be easily made at home as well using thick homemade fresh Curd.
Nothing difficult at all. Hassle free and easy one.
Make it afresh everytime you want to have it. My most cherished and loved childhood recipe and I love it more if it is made by mom even today.

Steps
- 1
Blend all the ingredients until thick and foamy. Garnish with some more of Mint Leaves while serving.
- 2
Serve it chilled after meals or at any time of the day. It's a refreshing treat for everyone. Simple and easy to to make. The consistency can be kept both thin and thick according to one's own choice.
- 3
It's a bit thicker compared to our own Chaas or Buttermilk. It's an individual preference though. You can very well keep the consistency thin. All said and done, it's a perfect drink in all likelihood. Enjoy! Yum!
