Ingredients

45 mins
4 people
  • 2 cupsBasmati rice or ambemohar rice
  • 4 cupscoconut milk
  • 2 cupsJaggery - crushed or grated
  • cloves- 4-5 pieces
  • 1 Tspcardamom powder
  • 1 TBSPvegtable oil
  • 1 TBSPraisins
  • 1/4 tspsalt

Steps

  1. 1

    In a saucepan add oil. Once warm add the cloves. Saute for a minute.

  2. 2

    Add Rice and saute nicely.

  3. 3

    Add coconut milk and salt. mix well. Cover with a lid and let the rice completely cook. Takes around 15-20 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add jaggery, caramom powder, raisins.

  5. 5

    Mix well. Be carefull not to break the rice grains. Cover and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
