This can be used as a sweetener, thickener or moisture-retaining agent.

Steps

Place all the ingredients in a cooking pot and stir.

Simmer the mixture on low or medium-low heat for approximately 30 minutes. The syrup should turn from golden to slightly dark brown. To test, take a teaspoon of it and pour it in a cold cup of water, it should be stringy.

While still hot, SLOWLY and GENTLY transfered it into a jar for storage.
