Hi! Finally we're on the last part of my coconut rice series, this time we make sambal, Indonesians favorite ! This sauce is very versatile, not just a dipping sauce, you can also use as a base of your fried rice or juice throw some in your noodles and the most important part is, it's easy to make!

Ingredients

20 minutes
  1. 7Shallots
  2. 8garlic
  3. 10chilies (2 bell pepper)
  4. 1 1/2 tspSalt
  5. 1 tspmushroom powder /bouillon
  6. 100 mloil

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Blitz chili, shallots and garlic few times in food processor.

  2. 2

    Pre-heat the pan with oil and then add chili mixture, add seasoning 5 minutes in and cook until the oil turn red and the chili is all wilted.

  3. 3

    Once it's done, do a taste test, if it needs some more seasoning add it while it's warm.

    Your sambal is ready!
