Steps
- 1
Wash beef and shred across the grain.
- 2
Marinate with soy sauce, cumin powder, chili powder, ginger powder and garlic powder.
- 3
Coat your marinated beef with corn flour and allow to stand for about 15 minutes.
- 4
Put your sauce pan on the fire. Add little vegetable oil. Put in your sliced onions and your ginger and garlic paste. Stir till tender. Add your marinated beef and stir fry till beef is brown and tender. Should take about 7 to 9 minutes.
- 5
Season with your salt and buillion cubes. You can add spices and seasoning of your choice. Taste and correct your seasonings.
- 6
Add a little stock or water and cover. Allow to cook till almost all liquid is absorbed. You can thicken with corn flour paste (optional) or allow the beef to absorb all it's juices. Add sliced green pepper and onions. Stir and allow to simmer for 3 minutes.
- 7
Serve with rice, pasta or cous cous.
