Ingredients

  • Rasmalai milk
  • 1/2 litr medium fat milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2-3 tsp of chopped pistachios
  • 2-3 tsp of chopped almonds
  • 3-4 drops of lemon yellow food colour(optional)
  • 5-7kesar soaked in 2 tbs warm milk * turn off the flame once the milk has been reduced *cool down the milk to room temperature before using it
  • (For rasmalai bunt cake batter)
  • 1/3cup condensed milk
  • 1 cup plain flour or maida
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2tsp baking powder
  • 2tbsp melted butter (regular salted butter at room temp.)
  • 3/4 cuprasmalai milk/ras (or) as per required for a semi thick batter
  • 1/2 tsp rasmalai extract
  • For Rabri
  • 1/3 cup rasmalai milk
  • 1/2 cup milk powder

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix wet and dry ingredients of cake batter. Pour in baking tin.

    (Baking Instuctions)
    * pre heat at 180"C for 10 mins
    * bake at 180"C for 30 to 35 mins or until tooth pick
    inserted comes out clean

  2. 2

    Make the rasmalai milk take all milk ingredients pour in pan heat till it thickens on slow flame. Keep aside to be used in cake batter and making Rabri

  3. 3

    For making rabri
    Take rasmalai milk and milk powder
    Cook together till it thickens it will take hardly 4 to 5 mins
    Pour on cake
    Decorate with pista badam rose petals
