  1. 2 Tbspolive oil
  2. 1yellow onion
  3. 2 clovesgarlic (1 tsp minced)
  4. 1 (15 oz.)can kidney beans
  5. 1 (15 oz.)can black beans
  6. 1 (15 oz.)can pinto beans
  7. 1 (15 oz.)can fire roasted diced tomatoes
  8. 1 (6 oz.)can tomato paste
  9. 1Jalapeno
  10. 1 cupwater
  11. Chili Seasoning
  12. 1 Tbspchili powder
  13. 1 tspground cumin
  14. 1/4 tspcayenne powder
  15. 1/4 tspgarlic powder
  16. 1/2 tsponion powder
  17. 1/2 Tbspbrown sugar
  18. 1 tspsalt
  19. 1/2 tspFreshly cracked black pepper

Cooking Instructions

    Dice the onion. Add the onion and garlic to a large pot with the olive oil and cook over medium heat until they are soft and transparent.

    Drain the beans and add them to the pot along with the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, 1 cup water, and all of the ingredients for the chili seasoning. Stir until well combined. Place a lid on the pot and allow it to simmer over a low flame for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally (the flavor gets better the longer it simmers).

    Give the chili one final taste, adjust the salt or seasonings if needed, then serve hot with your favorite toppings.
