Stuffed Mussels
A spicy snack
Mussels stuffed with Rice dough.
Steps

Scrape and remove all the dirt from the mussels, wash them several times in cold water till completely clean. Drain in a bowl.

Soak rice in hot water. Cover it with a lid. Keep it for 4 hrs. Wash & drain the rice. Add, grated coconut, salt, aniseed, shallots. Grind it into a smooth thick paste.

Cut each mussel half way down. Keep aside in the strainer to remove excess water.

Stuff each mussel neatly with rice paste. Steam it 20 to 25 min or till done.

Remove from fire & cool it till you can handle it. Remove the shell with care.

Mix all the powders with ginger garlic paste & little water. Marinate the stuffed mussels & shallow fry a few at a time in hot oil till done. Remove & drain.

Delicious spicy stuffed mussels is ready to serve.
