  1. 2 cupsfresh green peas (about 300 grams)
  2. 2potatoes, finely chopped
  3. 2green chilies
  4. 1 pieceginger
  5. 6-7 clovesgarlic
  6. 1/4 cupcilantro, finely chopped (about 10 grams)
  7. 2 tablespoonsgarlic chives, finely chopped (about 8 grams)
  8. 1lemon
  9. 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds
  10. 1/2 teaspoonred chili powder
  11. 1/4 teaspoonturmeric powder
  12. 1/2 teaspooncoriander powder
  13. 1/2 teaspoongaram masala
  14. Salt to taste
  15. 2 tablespoonsmustard oil (about 30 ml)
  16. 1 pinchasafoetida

    Gather all the ingredients. Finely chop the green chilies and garlic, and grate the ginger.

    Heat oil in a skillet. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida, then add garlic, green chilies, and ginger. Sauté until fragrant.

    Add the finely chopped potatoes. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.

    Once the potatoes are slightly cooked, add the green peas. Cover and cook for 2 more minutes. Then add salt, turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, and red chili powder. Mix well.

    When the potatoes and peas are cooked, add the finely chopped garlic chives and cilantro. Squeeze in the lemon juice and mix. Serve hot.

    Hot green pea ghugni is ready. You can also top it with sev or bhujia and serve with tea. It tastes delicious.

    I made this ghugni with garlic. You can also make it without garlic and onion, according to your preference.
