Ingredients

A horde
  1. Base Layer
  2. 1 cupButter (partially melted)
  3. 1/2 cupWhite Sugar
  4. 2 cupsAll-purpose Flour
  5. Custard
  6. 4Eggs
  7. 1 1/2 cupWhite Sugar
  8. 1/4 cupAll-Purpose Flour
  9. 2juiced Lemons

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350°

  2. 2

    Base Layer Ingredients: Cream butter with hand mixer, add sugar and flour, mix until smooth crumb with no large chunks.

    Push flat into an 8x13 inch glass pan, and bake for 20 minutes (or until the outside edge of base layer is show a little brown).

    Custard Ingredients: Mix all sugar, flour, eggs, and lemon juice together until homogenous.

    After Base Layer is finished baking, pour custard mixer (and scrape any leftover) on top of the Base Layer and put back in the oven at 350° for another 20 minutes.

    Remove baking dish from oven and let cool completely. Top with powdered sugar, cut into squares, and serve.
