Zatarain’s Gumbo
Cold Saturday in January just wanted some Gumbo in fact I’ve been craving it so here goes😊
Cooking Instructions

Add water to 4 quart sauce pan and chicken parts. Boil until tender about 30 min and remove from pot.

Chop vegetables and set aside

Add zatarains gumbo mix to boiling water reduce and simmer 10 min
- 4
Remove cooled chicken from bone and set aside
- 5
Add vegetables, chicken, to cast iron skillet and cook until vegetables are tender and onions are translucent

Add to gumbo mix, along with okra, corn and tomatoes
- 7
Mix well and cook over medium heat for 10 min more.

Add shrimp and cooked crab legs then cover. Remove from heat serve hot when shrimp are pink and tender about 5- 7 min. (If shrimp and crab are still frozen leave pot over flame 🔥 another 5 -7 min)

Serve hot with good bread 🥖 enjoy 😉

It blew me away how well it turned out!
