Steps
- 1
Beat the sugar into the egg until well combined.
- 2
Sift the flour and add it to the egg mixture, mixing until it forms coarse crumbs.
- 3
Add the room temperature butter to the crumbs and knead slowly into a smooth dough. Divide the dough in half, knead cocoa powder into one half, then take a bit from each dough to form small 20g balls.
- 4
Lightly oil a skillet, line it with parchment paper, and lightly oil the paper.
- 5
After dividing all the dough, twist the dough for a better pattern, then roll into small balls and flatten them to about 5-8mm thick. Place them in the skillet, leaving a little space between each cookie as they will expand slightly.
- 6
Cover and cook on the lowest heat for 20-30 minutes. Enjoy!

Tips 👉 🔹 Every stove's heat is different, so after 15 minutes, you can flip one to check the bottom. If it's golden, it's done. 🔹 Oven version: Preheat the oven to 340°F (170°C) and bake for 15 minutes.
