So good.
Like millionaire’s shortbread or a Twix depending on how you shape them.
You can make them in a loaf tin or a square tin. I tried the bar moulds today - not that useful 😬

So good.
Like millionaire’s shortbread or a Twix depending on how you shape them.
You can make them in a loaf tin or a square tin. I tried the bar moulds today - not that useful 😬
Steps

Mix the ‘shortbread’ ingredients. Press into the bottom of your tin of choice. (Line the tin with baking paper.) Pop it in the freezer.

Gently heat all the ‘caramel’ ingredients together. Pour into your tin as the next layer and smooth it out. Pop it into the freezer again.

If you want to dip the squares / bars in chocolate then leave them in the freezer for 1-2 hrs. If you want to pour the chocolate over, then 30 mins is ok.

Melt the chocolate and then pour over as the next layer. Sprinkle with sea salt. Put in the freezer for an hour or so before slicing.
If you’re dipping, melt the chocolate. Slice the shortbread/ caramel into bars. Then dip onto the chocolate; rest on baking paper and then into the fridge.
