Chili Mince (Harri mirch Qeema)

Today when I searched Hari mirch qeema on Cookpad, I found very different and unique recipes. Last time, I tried @cook_20987828 Asma syed recipe and this time I tried Mariam @sur_wah_kitchen recipe. Cooking style, ingredients and taste; all are different from each other. My main reason of choosing the recipe is without Red chili powder and tomatoes so I filtered my Cookpad Search and found this recipe. I haven’t used whole dry condiments before but when I use, it gave me a different aroma too. Actually it’s an alternative of pond garam masala and my qeema also didn’t turn to dark in color. Overall, I find a good experience as well as I realize that every cook’s recipe is different from other and we can make one dish in different ways.

Steps
- 1
First of all wash mince properly and put it in strainer. Start preparation by cutting thin slices of onions and put the pot on flame and pour oil to make it hot. Add onions in hot oil and start stirring it.
- 2
Once the onion turns it color to pink to golden. Dish out in some plate and leave the flame on.
- 3
In the same pot, put mince and ginger garlic paste and start mixing.
- 4
Once it totally fried and oil leaves the mince, pour whipped yogurt and mix it for few seconds
- 5
Add turmeric powder, cumin powder and all dry condiments like cloves, black pepper and cinnamon stick. Mix it well.
- 6
Now add salt and green chilies mix again. Pour half cup of water.
- 7
Cover it for 10 -15 mins on medium flame. After that, uncover it and check the mince is cooked or not. If it is cooked, add golden brown onions and mix it.
- 8
Add Capsicum if you have and cover it for 5 -10 more mins on flow flame. Once the oil come up, turn of the flame. Dish out in serving dish and garnish with julienne ginger, 2 green chilies and chopped coriander.

Hmmm the aroma was saying that this dish turned out delicious. I served with garma garam chapati and salad. Everyone loves it and enjoyed last night dinner.
